good idea if the president of the company sent each employee a birthday card each year. The president of the company scheduled time each month to sign all the cards for the next month. He took the employer birthday cards one step further and made an effort to find out something about each employee. Each card contained a personal message and noted a personal triumph and an employee related triumph such as participation on a certain project. This did wonders for the morale of the company. It lifted spirits; it created company unity and fueled willingness for team work. All because of a birthday card from the boss.

Employer birthday cards can be any card from the local department store or a specially created card. Most stationary stores and office supply stores offer employer birthday cards and they can be embossed with the company logo. Such cards can be ordered online at an online office supply or stationary store.

On the other side of the fence employer birthday cards can be for your boss. It is always nice to acknowledge the boss on his special day, especially if he is the one who performs your review and decides your salary increase. It might sound like brown nosing or sucking up but think of a birthday card for your boss as an investment in your future. Be sure you do not choose a card that is insulting, off color or insensitive in any way. Most bosses enjoy a funny card as well as the next guy and an appropriate card might be the thing that puts your next salary increase over the top.

A card for the boss can be an individual or group thing. If you add something other than your name, make sure it is in good taste. You don’t want the gossip at the water cooler to be what an insensitive jerk you are. That will not get you any points with anyone.

When should you give your employer his or her birthday card? Perhaps you can leave it on their desk or in their mailbox. If it is a group thing, perhaps deliver the card at a staff meeting or coffee break. Maybe a special luncheon is in order where you will have the opportunity to give the boss the card.

Another company I worked for, each person’s birthday was recognized with cake and ice cream and a card signed by everyone. It was the afternoon break. This might be a good time to give your employer his or her birthday card.

If you really want to get in good with the boss, make your employer birthday cards but make sure he or she knows it was not done on company time or with company materials. No matter how good the card was it will not go over well.

office supply store or stationary store. Buying in bulk assures you will always have cards on hand. Rather than having them printed with a signature, take the time or appoint someone on your staff to personalize the card and sign it with a real hand signature. That will show the customer you care about who they are. It is one of the many personal touches that can turn a onetime customer into a return customer. It is a personal touch that helps build loyalty.

Business birthday greeting cards can be combined with a coupon for an added extra something. Perhaps a percentage off of their next order or a freebie item. If you are really into customer’s birthday, have an item, such as a mug or cap to send along with the birthday card. If it isn’t economical to do every year, perhaps do that for your customer the year your business achieves a certain goal. For instance it might be for 10 years being in business or achieving a certain sales goal. Or your may decide to call a special birthday year to just thank your customers for their loyalty.

Business birthday greeting cards really don’t have to be anything fancy. A plain, simple card with a brief message will let your customer know you appreciate them. If you have the time or staff available, you can create the card yourself. That will make the card more personal. Let me add a word of caution about acknowledging your customers birthday. Let them know you are asking for their birthday because from time to time you send out birthday greetings and sometimes with a special offer or coupon. If you require a birthday on an application or a condition of purchase, they may feel an invasion of privacy if suddenly a birthday card shows up in the mail. You could potentially lose customers this way. If a customer isn’t required to give their birthday and if asked they say no, don’t push the issue. You could be alienating your customer. It could be a good idea that turns bad.

An alternative to acknowledging your customers birthday, celebrate your businesses birthday with a birthday card for all your customers. That way you can thank your customer for their loyalty and add a birthday greeting for them for that year. You won’t be invading anyone’s privacy and you will be building good will with your customers.

If you have an online business, an online business birthday greeting card would be appropriate. As with a print card, it doesn’t have to be anything but plain, simple and to the point. Adding something of value such as a percentage off their next order or a coupon redeemable for a no cost gift that will be a present for your customer is appropriate if it fits into your budget.

and the scroll or two through a menu. Anyone with some creativity, ambition and a computer can become a birthday card designer. Designing personalized birthday cards can be done for yourself, family and friends or even as a small or big business. The ultimate dream might be to start and build a birthday card company then have one of the big guns come along, love your work and buy your company and designs from you.

Personalized birthday cards can include more than the name of the recipient. It may contain a favorite phrase, picture, color scheme, occupation, and school or just about anything that makes it personal. Personalization makes the card special. It is something just for you. It shows a little extra thought went into the card.

Personalized birthday cards aren’t just for the print world. Online birthday cards emailed to the recipient have become an easy way to send a birthday. Emailed to the recipient, the card is usually held online for a time certain, say 30 days, and then it disappears. This is to prevent the card server from being over loaded with files that will be looked at a few times and never be looked at again. Some online ecards are a paid service while others are no cost. To send a card usually requires the customer to create a membership. Once a membership is established, the customer then logs into the account to send a card. Ecards are usually available for any occasion imaginable. Cards are chosen by picking the occasion and then scrolling through a series of menus to customize and personalize your card. Color schemes, message, music and pictures are chosen. When the options are added, review your card and away it goes to the recipient. Personalized birthday cards can’t get any easier. Some online cards allow the customer to add their own pictures and message rather than picking from stock contents.

How about this for an idea, giant personalized birthday cards made out of a waterproof material that folks can rent for a week and have put in their friends yard to celebrate a special occasion. The basic card can be the same but a name can be added to personalize the card. Or perhaps leave a space to add a picture of the recipient or a picture of some importance. An imaginative entrepreneur might create a few different cards for a variety of occasions and make them available for rent. You may want to consider a returnable deposit to help assure return of the card. The card will need to be anchored into the ground and be somewhat breeze resistant. Of course be sure your contact information is on the card some place but not so obvious it overshadows the message of the card. This just might be the thing parents can set up to keep the kids busy.

office supply catalogs and online, purchasing corporate greeting cards in bulk can assure you of an economical price and always being prepared. Corporate greeting cards are a good way to keep in touch with those important to your business.

A good greeting card company will create new designs every year to avoid you, the consumer, from buying and sending the same cards every year. An environmentally conscience company will print their cards on recycled or some other environmentally safe material and the responsible company you want to do business with.
A company with a creative marketing staff or graphic designer is more likely to have the in house capabilities to create their own corporate greeting cards. The company has their own in house printing or an association with an outside print company to provide the necessary printing. This will also give the company the capability for large or small orders and being able to create individualized cards almost instantaneously.

An entrepreneur might find a job as a consultant to a company to provide greeting cards to them on an on call basis. That would be a great gig. It might mean a certain amount of guaranteed work every year and maybe a bonus from time to time for completing a project on time. If you ever do find that for yourself, you will have to think about selling the designs to the company or keeping the design and using it elsewhere. Giving up the rights to your design isn’t a bad thing, as long as you are compensated for it.

Corporate greeting cards might also include the design on bill boards that a company may rent for a month to wish someone a happy birthday, congratulations, good luck or a simple have a nice day. Their aren’t as many bill boards around as their once was, but there are still enough out there and an economical way to advertise to the masses.

If your company gives out bonuses or special recognition to the employees, why not consider a specially designed greeting card to go with it. Each card can be the same or maybe have six different cards. If it is specially designed for the occasion it will be appreciated more than the standard corporate letter. This is where a staff graphic designer or an on call consultant will come in handy.
Corporate greeting card companies can be found online by doing a simple web search. You will find hundreds and hundreds listed but not all will meet your requirement of location, price, delivery time frame and level of creativity desired. There will be those corporate greeting card companies listed that are not reliable. It will take some research and study to weed those undesirable companies out. Check with the Better Business Bureau to see if they have any complaints lodged against them. Ask the company if they have any customer references you can check with – and check them. It is better to be safe than sorry.

Business birthday cards, available in bulk numbers, are for businesses to send to clients, business associates, consultants or folks they hope to someday do business with. Such cards can be a marketing tool as well as a personal sentiment.

Most of the greeting card biggies and some of the greeting card small guys have business birthday cards in their repertoire of cards. The cards can be general in nature or personalized, complete with company logo. Business birthday cards ordered online usually have several options such as color, layout and fold type.
The cost of business birthday cards varies. They may be advertised for as “low as $1.99” but to get that price a minimum order of 1,000 cards is required. It follows the old adage; the more you buy the cheaper it is per item. But that is the beauty of buying in bulk if a lot of something is needed.

There is a huge market for business birthday cards and anyone with some creativity and talent and the desire to start a business will find a very competitive but lucrative market. Such a venture would require some startup capital, inventory of supplies and either in house print capabilities or an association with an outside printer. The most critical part of the business is the marketing aspect. Selling your ideas will be the most difficult part of the entire project. That will require some creativity as well.

You need that special something that will make your product stand out from the rest. You want to find that hook that will make consumers want your product above all others. If you don’t have any marketing skills, you may want to take a few classes in marketing or hire a marketing specialist to get you started. Marketing is always the most difficult part of any project and it is important to have a solid plan in place.

Once you have an inventory of cards designed, let the marketing begin. It will help to have a web page advertising your products but it will be most helpful to put together a selling packet and go door to door to door and speaking with as many companies as you can get in to see. Some businesses will allow walk in sales people, as long as there is someone available to talk. Others will require an appointment and may only give you 15 minutes. Be flexible enough to contact the company the way they choose. Always leave a packet wherever you go and get the name of the person you need to speak to about your product. Follow up all visits with a quick phone call or a personal handwritten note. That will put your name on, or at least near, the top of their list.

Once you have a few sales under your belt, be sure to get some customer feedback. Positive feedback can go a long way in your advertising. Add those comments to your web page and if you use the customer’s name, be sure you ask their permission. A discount on a future order might be the persuasion needed to get their permission. To make or break things that could determine the success of your business birthday card business is to be sure you deliver as promised and have impeccable customer service.
